Hsu Li Chuan is a senior partner in Dentons Rodyk's Corporate practice group and Co-Head of the Fintech/Blockchain practice group. He is also Co-Head of the Regional practice and the Singapore-China relationship partner.

Li Chuan graduated from the National University of Singapore on a Singapore Armed Forces Training Award. After serving his bond in the armed forces as a combat officer, he was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor in Singapore.

Li Chuan's main areas of practice encompass corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and Blockchain & DLT. He is effectively bilingual in both English and Chinese, and has advised various Chinese clients and companies. Li Chuan has been actively advising on fund-raising projects from start-up to pre-IPO, IPO and post-IPO, across a range of jurisdictions and exchanges, whether via traditional debt or equity securities, to security and non-security tokens.

  • Acting as legal advisers to Mitsui & Co., Ltd ("Mitsui") for its investment in cancer diagnostics company MiRXES Holding Company Ltd’s Series D fundraising exercise.

  • Acting for Seatown Capital and Pavilion Capital, both of which are subsidiaries of Temasek, as well as EDBI, the dedicated corporate investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board, in their investment into Cityneon Holdings Pte. Ltd. (“Cityneon”). This funding round was led by PavCap, SeaTown, EDBI, and Cityneon’s Executive Chairman & Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ron Tan. Cityneon raised a total of S$235 million in this round of private fundraising.

  • Acting for Agathese Pte. Ltd. (as vendor) and Keppel Land (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (as covenantor) (both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Keppel Corporation Limited), in the divestment of 100% stake in the entity which holds Keppel Bay Tower to the Singapore Exchange-listed Keppel REIT, based on an agreed property value of S$657.2 million. Also acting for Keppel REIT Property Management Pte Ltd, which will provide certain property management services relating to Keppel Bay Tower after completion, in respect of the property management agreement to be entered into.

  • Acted for ST Group Food Indsutries Holdings Limited in the listing of ST Group on the Catalist Board of the SGX-ST, raising a total proceeds of approximately S$9.6million.

  • Acted for Nickel Mines Limited raising A$200 million in listing on the Australian Stock Exchange and valuing the company at around A$485million.

  • Acting for Samko Timber Limited in the proposed transaction with PT Barito Pacific Tbk (“Barito”) for subscription of 51% of the enlarged shareholdings of a subsidiary of Barito for up to approximately US$21 million.
