In addition, he advises clients on employment matters, and post-IPO corporate governance and compliance issues. Jeremiah's work has seen him get shortlisted for Young Lawyer of the Year (Law Firm) (Southeast Asia) and he is a recipient of LegalOne's Stellar Accolade (Southeast Asia).

Jeremiah graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, Australia, at the tender age of 20. He subsequently returned to Singapore for National Service during which he commissioned as a combat officer and received the prestigious National Service Full-time of the Year Award, along with a letter of commendation from the then Chief Armour Officer, Brigadier General Benedict Lim.

Following his National Service, Jeremiah began training at one of Singapore’s oldest firms, and has since worked at various leading domestic and international firms, before founding Icon Law with Soh Chun Bin, as the Singapore member of the ZICO Law Network and KPMG’s best friend in Singapore.

In addition to his corporate practice, Jeremiah is:

(a) a Fellow of the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (FCS, CSIS), and the Chartered Governance Institute (FCG, CGI);

(b) a Certified Information Privacy Professional (Asia) and Manager (CIPP/A and CIPM) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). He also holds a Practitioner Certificate in Personal Data Protection (Singapore) issued by the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore; and

(c) an accredited and qualified mediator (Singapore Mediation Centre, Singapore International Mediation Institute and International Mediation Institute), and on the Law Society of Singapore’s Mediation Scheme Panel of Mediators.

Jeremiah is also the legal advisor to Australian Alumni Singapore, which is the national umbrella organisation for the 200,000 Singaporean or Singapore-based graduates of Australian universities, and to the government-supported Kazakhstan-Singapore Business Council. He also serves on the Law Society of Singapore's Corporate Practice Committee, Equity Capital Markets Committee and International Relations Committee. He was also previously the legal advisor to Singapore's Association of Listed Companies.

Jeremiah is also an Accredited Director (by examination) of the Singapore Institute of Directors and sits on the Board of Singapore-listed building maintenance and estate upgrading specialist, ISOTeam Ltd, as an Independent Director (and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, and member of the Nominating and Audit Committees).

  • Advising and representing Biesterfeld Group's GME Chemicals in its acquisition of Tat Lee Engineering's distribution business, which includes the distribution rights for the specialty lubricants MOLYKOTE from DuPont and DOWSIL high-performance silicone materials from DOW.
  • Advising SGX-listed CFM Holdings on its recent Nominating Committee and Board disputes, and the consequent requisition by its controlling shareholders (also its Executive Directors, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer) to remove an independent director and appoint others.
  • Advising and representing Kazakhstan's Bank CenterCredit in its strategic cooperation with China's Ant Group (an affiliate of the Alibaba Group) to introduce its first SuperApp in Kazakhstan.
  • Advising Ditrolic Energy (one of SE Asia's largest renewable energy developers) on BlackRock's widely-reported investment into group, which will support its plans to reach 1GW+ pipeline of solar projects, while providing around 3,500 jobs.
  • Advising and representing the shareholders of Singapore-based Brylchem Group in their disposal to global chemicals giant, IMCD (listed on Euronext Amsterdam)
