Christian Herbst has been a partner at Schoenherr since 1990. Christian’s main areas of practice are m&a, public takeovers, private equity and corporate finance transactions. Christian enjoys an excellent reputation in representing international and Austrian blue-chip corporations in (cross-border) transactional work. Christian's transactional advisory has covered a wide range of economic sectors and industries over the years, including financial services, energy and telecoms. Christian, a member of the Vienna Bar, graduated from Salzburg University (Dr. iur. 1982), the School of Advanced International Studies, JHU-Bologna (Diploma 1983), and Harvard Law School (LLM. 1984). Christian is an international business transactions lecturer at the University for Economics and Business in Vienna, has published on issues relating to m&a, takeovers and merger control, and is a speaker at various legal seminars and conferences.

  • Advised P&I Personal & Informatik GmbH on the acquisition of 100 % of the shares in VRZ Informatik Gesellschaft mbH (Dornbirn) and its sister mpany ThinkCreateAct AG (Switzerland).
