António Vicente Marques founded AVM in 2003, with a multidisciplinary team, with market-leading strengths in the energy, financial services, real estate and technology sectors.
Over the years, Antonio has turned AVM from a Luanda-based law firm into a modern and internationally respected law office, proud of its African and Portuguese Lusophone history, with offices in Luanda and Cabinda (Angola), Rio de Janeiro, (Brazil), Maputo (Mozambique), as well in Lisbon and Porto (Portugal).

• Assisting, on a permanent basis, several oil & gas services providers in respect of a wide range of issues spanning, generally, from the legal framework applicable to the contracting of services within the oil & gas sector, related exchange and taxation law issues, and also in relation to corporate, labour and other legal aspects in connection with their activity in Angola;
• Assisting an international Russian bank, in several different deals, in respect of facilities provided to the Angolan State;
• Assisting a member of the World Bank Group in respect of facilities provided (or to be provided) to Angolan financial entities;
• Assisting a major international bank (in coordination with a major international firm) in respect of a credit facility agreement provided to a foreign subsidiary of a major Angolan public entity.
