Dentons Rodyk & Davison in Singapore has hired a new energy partner.
John Dick joins the energy and resources and infrastructure practice from EY. He focuses on M&A, joint ventures and project development in the energy sectors.
Dick has 27 years experience in South East Asia and previously worked at Herbert Smith Freehills where he was a managing partner in the Singapore office before landing at EY.
His recent work includes advising a UK listed company on its $4 billion acquisition of two major Indonesian coal mining companies; advising an Indonesian gold mining company on its global restructure from AIM to the JSX; and advising the Singapore Government on the tender and concession arrangements for water and waste PPP (public-private partnership) infrastructure projects.
EY's Singapore legal arm was run by Dick and Evangelos Apostolou under the brand DA Partners, though that firm shut down in June. EY will now operate through PK Wong & Associates.
