William Fry has announced the hire of funds partner Ian Dillon from Campbells today.

Dillon, who led the mutual funds practice at Campbells, worked at Frys between 1998 to 2004, before moving inhouse at Pioneer Investments in Dublin and then on to Campbells. He focusses on hedge fund formation, alternative investment management regulation and corporate governance.

Commenting on his decision to join the Irish firm, Dillon said the appeal was the platform the firm has established in the funds space and its commitment to improving. “William Fry’s book of asset management and investment funds clients, its determination to cement and grow its position nationally and internationally and the firm’s focus and vision in our industry made William Fry simply the best fit for my practice,” he said.

Dillon becomes the seventh partner in the firm’s asset management and investment funds team, which also includes eight associates.
