Adnan Sundra & Low is one of the leading law firms based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Established in August 1975 under the name of Mutalib Sundra & Low, the firm has operated under its present name since June 1982. Apart from the domestic practice, the firm has five foreign desks capable of handling cross-border transactions including China, India, Japan, Korea and SEA desks. The firm became the TAGLaw member for Malaysia in 2022.

During the research period, the firm was active in the area of banking and finance, capital markets, civil aviation, corporate and commercial, Islamic finance and real estate.

 

The firm was particularly active in Islamic debt capital markets and equity capital markets. During the research period, the firm has been involved in a number of high-profile sukuk programmes, often advising arrangers. The firm was also active in acquisition and project financing, advising both lenders and borrowers.

 

The corporate team kept busy handling domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. The team also regularly advises clients in transactions related to disposals, trade-sale deals, private equity investments as well as acquisitions involving special purpose acquisition companies. Active industry sectors include financial services, telecommunication, oil & gas, energy, healthcare, education, technology, retail and manufacturing.
