Overview:

  • Łagisza 413MW gas power plant.
  • The project consists of the construction of a new combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant at the Łagisza site in Będzin, currently home to a 820MW coal power plant.
  • TAURON Polska Energia and TAURON Wytwarzanie have invested Zl1.5 billion in the project.
  • The plant is being funded in part by Polish Investments for Development, now called Polish Development Fund (PFR).
  • The remaining units at the existing coal power plant are set to be decommissioned after the new plant is complete.
