Overview:

Emerson Electric has acquired Valves & Controls from Pentair for $3.15 billion.
The target, based in Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland, measures and tracks industrial processes and has almost 7,500 employees around the world and will be integrated into Emerson’s Automation Solutions platform.
The acquisition was the latest in a series of deals involving Emerson, including the $99 million acquisition of Spectronix and the $1.2 billion sale of Control Techniques and Leroy-Somer to Nidec.
