Springleaf Holdings $4.25 billion acquisition of OneMain Financial Holdings

Overview:

• Subprime lender Springleaf Holdings has expanded with the completion of its acquisition of OneMain Financial Holdings.
• OneMain was sold by Citigroup.
• The newly formed company will take the name OneMain.
• Springleaf is owned by Fortress Investment Group. 
• BofA Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Barclays acted as financial advisers for Springleaf.
• Citi was financial adviser for OneMain.
• The deal was first announced in March 2015.
