Dentons has announced it is opening in Ireland after recruiting partners from leading local firms.

The largest firm in the world has recruited William Fry partner Eavan Saunders and former Matheson partner Peter O'Brien to lead its new Dublin branch. Saunders has been appointed managing partner, O'Brien chairman.

In a statement Dentons said its Dublin branch will focus on transactional work for clients in the financial services, real estate, energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors. Saunders focus is corporate transactions, M&A and transactional PE in particular. O'Brien focusses on banking and finance work, specialising in project finance.

Dentons expects its Dublin office to be fully operation by the second quarter of 2020.
