Sharon Amir specializes in domestic and cross-border transactions, the formation of private equity funds, including venture capital, venture lending, mezzanine, and buyout funds, and the representation of such funds in their ongoing activities. He has advised on some of Israel’s most complex deals.

  • Represented EZchip Semiconductor in its US $811 million merger with Mellanox Technologies, the largest public merger between two Israeli technology companies;
  • Represented FIMI Private Equity and other shareholders in a block sale of a controlling 22% stake in NYSE-listed Ormat Technologies to Japan-based Orix Corporation for US $630 million;
  • Represented FIMI Private Equity Funds in the formation of its sixth fund of approximately US $1.1 billion, the largest private equity fund ever established in Israel;
  • Represented Rivulis Irrigation Group in its acquisition of Europdrip for US $350 million, thereby forming the world’s second largest irrigation systems company outside of India;
  • Represented FIMI Private Equity Funds, the largest and most active in its field in Israel, in all of its acquisitions, including the recent acquisition of G4S Israel, from global security group G4S plc. for approximately US $118 million, the acquisition of Galam for NIS 300 million, and more than 80 additional acquisitions;
