Ngozi Efobi

Ngozi is a senior Associate in Aelex’s Project finance, Mergers and Acquisitions, Company Secretarial and Dispute Resolution practice groups. She regularly provides legal advisory services on Project financing/refinancing/restructuring as well as loan documentation. Ngozi has provided legal advice and regulatory compliance guidance in mergers and acquisitions and schemes of arrangement.

She also practices arbitration and commercial litigation at all levels of Courts in Nigeria. 

•  Played a key role in the acquisition of a group of East African Group of payment solutions Companies by a Nigerian Payment Systems Company via a share swap mechanism. 
•  Handled a recent scheme of arrangement for the delisting of one of the biggest publicly quoted Nigerian companies
•  handled the merger of an investments services company and a stockbroking firm.   
•  She is also part of the team that conducted due diligence work regarding the prospective acquisition of a bridge Bank and a multibillion Naira telecommunication company. 
•  She has advised a foreign company on the leasing of Aircrafts to a Nigerian Airline operator and
•  Advised a group of banks on the provision of a syndicated loan facility of 141 million dollars for the acquisition of a power plant (the services included loan documentation, due diligence, legal advisory, perfection of securities etc).
•  Currently advising a syndicate of banks on the restructure of a multi-tier loan facility used in financing the purchase of a power plant
