  • BLP advised BEAN & CO. in its organization in Nicaragua. This company based in Israel, finalized the process of acquiring a property in Nicaragua to develop a Cocoa project of over 3,000 Ha. BLP’s role includes the revision and due diligence of several properties in which the client held interest. Furthermore BLP assisted the client in its negotiations with governmental institutions that would grant support to the cocoa development and advised the client in the negotiations with governmental authorities that would authorize the import of a new cocoa variety which until now is not allowed for local cultivation. Finally, BLP advised the client in the ideal corporate structure to develop the project. 
  • BLP was engaged by the Interamerican Development Bank IDB to review the current Capital Markets Law and prepare an amendment that could boost the development of the capital markets in Nicaragua. The scope of the services included meetings with the local financial regulator and with the main participants in the market such as the stock exchange, brokerage houses and several companies that have issued debt in the capital markets.
