Alex has a broad based infrastructure and utilities practice, with particular expertise in renewables, energy and natural resources. He has more than twenty years regulatory, transactional and major projects experience in Ireland and Australia and has been centrally involved in the liberalisation of the energy markets in both jurisdictions.

• Advised Arcapita in relation to the reported €1billion sale of Viridian Group to I-Squared Capital
• Advised ESB and Bord na Mona in relation to the development and financing of the 89MW Phase 1 of the Oweninny Windfarm.
• Advised Covanta in relation to the refinancing of the €500million Dublin Waste to Energy PPP Project ad the sae of a 50% interest in the Prohect to the Green Investment Group
• Advised EirGrid in relation to the €600million financing of the 500MW HVDC East West Interconnector
• Advised Energia Renewables in relation to the development and or financing of 20 windfarms totalling over 300MW
