Research period review: 33rd edition (2022/2023)    

The banking team was active on a very high volume of mandates and often acted on the side of financial institutions. It also advised on financial services regulatory matters. 

In the capital markets area the firm advised on debt and equity transactions. In the debt side, the firm regularly acted for clients such as issuers and arrangers on debenture and bond issues. In capital markets equity, the firm worked for issuers on IPOs. 

In corporate and M&A and private equity work, a standout deal saw the firm act for Mindtree on its amalgamation into Larsen & Toubro Infotech leading to the biggest merger in the IT space in India until now. 

The firm was also active in project development projects, especially on Infrastructure, energy, telecommunications networks and transport. 

In restructuring and insolvency, the firm mainly advised financial restructuring. 

The M&A team welcomed Siddharth Mody, Rahul Deodhar, Abhijeet Sonawane, Shraddha Krishnan Das, Varun Sehgal, Gaurav Wahie, Anirudh Kapoor, Saurya Bhattacharya and Ritesh Kumar.
