Credit Suisse SFr6 billion share offer and rights issue

Overview:

• Credit Suisse has issued SFr6 billion of new shares.
• This consisted of two capital increases: the first to qualified investors and the second as a rights issue to existing shareholders. 
• The first part saw the bank sell SFr1.32 billion of shares at SFr22.75 a share; the second part saw the bank offer SFr4.7 billion of shares at a price of SFr18 a share.
• Citigroup, HSBC Bank and Société Générale acted as underwriters.
