Chase Bank $147 million capital raising

Overview:

• Chase Bank Kenya has raised $147 million in new capital through both equity and debt offers.
• The equity investors were DEG, responsAbility ParticipAtions and Amethis Africa Finance. 
• The equity portion was worth $23 million and was subscribed by three investors, an additional $5 million was in share purchases from an existing shareholder.
• The debt portion was later revised to $100 million.
• The bond offer was not underwritten.
