Overview:

  • Publicly traded O2 Czech Republic (O2CR) has spun-off its telecommunications infrastructure assets into a separate private company called Česká telekomunikační infrastruktura (CETIN).
  • The agreement approved by O2CR shareholders saw them receive one CETIN share for each they held in 02CR.
  • Shareholders who did not approve the deal were offered a buy-back of their CETIN shares.  
  • O2CR is 82% owned by Czech investment group PPF.
