Project Emerald/Project Ruby - Oaktree Capital Management €4.7 billion acquisition of NAMA loan portfolio

Overview:

• Oaktree Capital Management has been named as the preferred bidder for the Project Emerald and Project Ruby loan portfolios of the National Asset Management Agency (NAMA).
• Project Emerald has an outstanding par debt balance of approximately €2.5 billion secured by 236 properties. The underlying assets are made up of 53.6% commercial, 21.5% residential, 18.1% land and development, 6.7% hotel and leisure.
• Project Ruby has an outstanding debt balance of approximately €2.2 billion secured by 253 properties. The underlying collateral assets are made up of commercial (63.5%), land and development (15.2%), residential (11.8%) and hotel and leisure (9.5%).
