EDF issued two bond offerings on the US market in the form of a private placement.
The first, a $3.5 billion senior bond, was issued in four tranches: one, a $1.5 billion bond with a 5 year maturity at 2.350%, two, a $500 million bond with a 20 year maturity at 4.75%, three, a $1.15 billion bond with a 30 year maturity at 4.950% and a fourth of $350 million with a 40-year maturity 5.25%.
The second offering of $1.25 billion took the form of a green bond with a ten year maturity at 3.65%, the largest ever green bond in US dollars.
A banking syndicate led by Bank of America Merrill Lynch acted as underwriters.
