Overview:

  • Korea Land & Housing Corporation—a state-controlled corporation engaged in Korean land, housing and urban development projects—has made a HK$780 million offering of 1.83% fixed rate notes due 2018 under its $1 billion GMTN programme.
  • The offering was carried out under regulation S of the US Securities Act, and settled through the Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU) service operated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
  • Simpson Thacher & Bartlett acted for dealers HSBC as sole international counsel, with Seoul-based corporate lawyers Youngjin Sohn and Iksoo Kim taking the lead.
