GSA €12 million ferrochrome investment

Overview:

• Albanian energy company GSA acquired €12 million financing from EBRD and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank in 2015.
• The financing was aimed to construct and develop a ferrochromium facility in Elbasan.
• This was the first financing provided under EBRD and Intesa Sanpaolo's risk-sharing agreement of up to €10 million.
• The facility started operations in 2017.
• In 2018, GSA initiated its second phase to double the capacity and production of the facility.
