  • UK tech company Micro Focus has acquired the software assets of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) for $8.8 billion.
  • The deal sees HPE merge its non-core software assets with Micro Focus via reverse takeover.
  • 222 million shares were issued to HPE investors.
  • The deal will make Micro Focus the UK's largest listed software company valued at over £10 billion.
  • The deal was first announced in September 2016.
  • JPMorgan Caznove acted as financial adviser to Micro Focus.
