Baroda Asset Management / BNP Paribas Asset Management India merger

Overview:

• Bank of Baroda’s asset management arm Baroda Asset Management and BNP Paribas Asset Management India, a wholly-owned unit of BNP Paribas AMC Asia have agreed to merge. 
• This is a first of its kind consolidation of two active mutual fund businesses in India by way of an National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved merger of the underlying entities to create a joint venture mutual fund.
