Kingdom of the Netherlands €5.98 billion 0.5% green bond issue

Overview:

• The Kingdom of the Netherlands has issued a €5.98 billion green bond.
• The green bond has a coupon of 0.5% annually and is due in 2040.
• The Dutch State becomes the first AAA-rated sovereign to issue a green bond. It is also the largest initial green bond to date in the Netherlands, and the second largest globally.
• The proceeds of the green bond will be allocated to climate-related investments undertaken by the Dutch government.
