Platinum Equity $4 billion acquisition of Network Power

Overview:

• Private equity firm Platinum Equity has completed its $4 billion acquisition of  Network Power in a $4 billion deal.
• Network Power will now act as a stand-alone company called Vertiv.
• The seller was Emerson Electric, who made a separate divestiture concurrently.
• The purchase was the second Platinum has made from Emerson in the last three years.
• The deal was first announced in August.
