IFM Investors $6.5 billion acquisition of Buckeye Partners

Overview:

• Australia-based investment management company IFM Investors has acquired Buckeye Partners in a $6.5 billion deal. 
• Based in the US, Buckeye Partners owns and operates a network of midstream assets that spans the East Coast, Gulf Coast and Caribbean. 
• Evercore served as financial adviser for IFM, while Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and BofA Merrill Lynch advised Buckeye. 
• The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2019.
