Dedeman private equity fund launch

Overview:

• Romanian DIY retail chain Dedeman, will open the country's first all-Romanian capital private equity fund targeting domestic small and medium-sized companies.
• It will be fully financed by Pavăl Holding which is owned by Dedeman owners Dragoş Pavăl and Adrian Pavăl. 
• Head of Raiffeisen Investment department Laurentiu Ciocirlan will run the new private equity fund. Ciocirlan has been with Raiffeisen Bank for 15 years and has coordinated some of the largest listings on the Romanian market including the €440 million Electrica IPO and €500 million bond issue of the Bucharest Municipality.
