Overview:

  • JPMorgan and Barclays have acted as financial advisers to Walmart, while Flipkart has used the financial services of Goldman Sachs.
  • Walmart has financed the acquisition through a recent $16 billion bonds sale.
  • The issue consists of $750 million floating rate notes due 2020, $750 million floating rate notes due 2021, $1.25 billion 2.85% notes due 2020, $1.75 billion 3.12% notes due 2021, $2.75 billion 3.4% notes due e 2023, $1.5 billion 3.55% notes due 2025, $2.75 billion 3.7% notes due 2028, $1.5 billion 3.95% notes due 2038 and $3 billion 4.05% notes due 2048.
  • Managers of the bond issue were Barclays, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, HSBC and Wells Fargo.
