  • Amphenol Corporation - a Singapore-based electronic connectors maker - has acquired FCI Asia, a global leader in interconnect solutions for the telecommunications, data communications, wireless communications and industrial markets.  
  • Amphenol expects the FCI acquisition to be accretive to earnings per share in the first year post acquisition, excluding acquisition related costs.
  • Amphenol has been seeking to strengthen its telecom products business through acquisitions. It acquired General Electric’s advanced sensors business for approximately $318 million in 2013 and an automotive electro-mechanical and electronic devices company, Casco Automotive Group, for about $450 million in 2014.
