Antioquia-Bolívar highway $708 million financing

Overview:

• Construcciones El Cóndor is developing the Antioquia-Bolívar highway or Ruta al Mar, a 4G (fourth-generation) infrastructure project.
• Concesión Ruta al Mar, a subsidiary of Construcciones El Condor, obtained $708 million in financing from Goldman Sachs and other banks to fund the construction of the highway.
• The financing took the form of COP$522 billion of Series A notes and a COP$1.75 trillion loan.
• This was the first private 4G project to receive international financing.
