Overview:

  • Korea Exchange Bank (KEB) has completed a $7 billion merger with Hana Bank.
  • In 2012, after Hana Financial Group (HFG) acquired Korea Exchange Bank from Lone Star, HFG had commenced integrating its subsidiaries by a comprehensive stock exchange between Hana Financial Holding and KEB; a merger of the Indonesian branches of KEB and Hana Bank; and a split-off of KEB’s credit card division and subsequent merger with Hana SK Card.
  • The newly merged bank is now among the largest in Korea.
