Sidley Austin has strengthened its M&A and private equity offerings in Singapore with the addition of a new partner.
Parthiv Rishi joins the firm from Linklaters, where he had previously served as a partner and had led the financial sponsor and private equity practice in South East Asia.
Sidley’s Asia-Pacific managing partner, Constance Choy commented: “As we continue to expand our private equity and M&A capabilities, Parthiv’s collaborative nature and natural ability to establish strong client relationships will make him a great fit for our global team.”
Rishi’s experience covers acting for corporates and financial institutions on a variety of matters including M&A, joint ventures and corporate restructurings. With a client base extending across Asia and Europe, he has particular expertise in advising private equity funds and financial sponsors and has experience in sectors including energy and infrastructure.
Rishi’s appointment continues Sidley Austin’s trend of expanding its global M&A and private equity practice through high profile hires, which began in New York in October 2018 with the hires of Adam Weinstein and Tony Feuerstein.
