Reed Smith has hired a new partner to launch its corporate practice in Singapore.

Matt Gorman joins the firm from Stephenson Harwood where he was South East Asia head of the firm’s corporate practice.

Gautam Bhattacharyya, managing partner of the firm’s Singapore office said: “We have built a strong platform in Singapore since we established our office and Matt’s arrival now ensures we are able to fully support the transactional needs of our clients.” 

Gorman worked in London for over ten years before moving to Singapore. His areas of focus include energy and natural resources, TMT, real estate, and financial services to both public and private companies.

Reed Smith opened its Singapore office in 2012 where it advises in international arbitration, energy, commodities and natural resources, shipping and insurance recovery, and in structured finance and derivatives.
