IFLR1000 Specialists is a guide that promotes teams with specialisms that are rare for the markets in which they operate, or specialised boutique firms.
The teams and firms in the guide focus on certain practice areas, products, sectors, and geographies, and are among the leaders in their country in these areas through market share, expertise or experience or, in some cases, a combination of all three. Africa, city development, CLOs, and real estate are just a few of the specialisms highlighted in the guide.
Firms profiled in the guide are those our team became aware of through their research.
From the more than 2000 firm submissions we received for IFLR1000 2019 last year, our researchers in London, Hong Kong, and New York identified a long list of firms that met criteria specific to the Specialists.
Not only do firms and teams included in the guide have established reputations locally for expertise in an area of law, these firms have demonstrated this through recent work. Firms in the guide have advised on a minimum of three notable mandates within their specialism since January 1, 2017.
After analysing deal evidence and data, and interviewing firms over a three month period, the research team confirmed the group that now comprises IFLR1000 Specialists.
