Ashurst has hired a new Singapore-based partner to its resources and infrastructure team.

Andrew Digges joins the firm from Allen & Overy where he was a foreign consultant at Ginting & Reksodiputro, the Indonesian domestic outfit in alliance with the magic circle firm.

Mark Elsey, Ashurst’s global head of resources and infrastructure, said of the hire: "Resources and infrastructure is an area of key strategic focus for the firm. Andrew is a seasoned and highly regarded practitioner who will add significant depth to our offering in this area in the Asia region as well as further enhancing our market leading global platform."

Prior to joining Ginting & Reksodiputro, Digges was part of Allen & Overy’s global projects group for over 15 years. He is experienced in advising on project development and project finance in the power, infrastructure, mining, oil and gas and petrochemical sectors, predominantly in Asia.

Notably, Digges has extensive experience advising on large Indonesian power projects over the past six years.

Ashurst’s Singapore outfit opened in 1996 and now has 40 lawyers, including over 10 partners.
