He is a Senior Partner and the Head of the Corporate Services Department. His practice areas include banking, finance and securities, foreign investments, mergers and acquisitions, and corporations. He is also accredited by the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission as a lecturer on corporate governance.

  • Advised Standard Chartered Bank and other banks in the shelf-registration of 975,571,800 Series “2” Preferred Shares of San Miguel Corporation at the offer price of PhP75 per share, and an initial tranche of PhP30 billion under the then recently promulgated 2015 Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Securities Regulation Code (Republic Act No. 8799);
  • Advised Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (Singapore) and other banks as Philippine counsel for the dealers in a back-to-back tender offer of perpetual securities and issuance of new perpetual securities. Royal Capital B.V. (RCBV), a wholly-owned Dutch subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), made an offer to holders of its outstanding US$350 million 8.375% Subordinated Guaranteed Perpetual Capital Securities to tender any or all of such holders’ Perpetual Securities for purchase. ICTSI (PSE: ICT) is a Philippine port management company that has been cited by the Asian Development Bank as one of the top five major maritime terminal operators in the world. This transaction is considered as the first Asian corporate liability management exercise and the first senior corporate hybrid capital trade globally in 2015;
  • Advised the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (Singapore) and other banks as Philippine counsel for the dealers in a back-to-back tender offer of perpetual securities and issuance of new perpetual securities.   • Advised Standard Chartered Bank and other banks in the offering by San Miguel Corporation of P80 Billion Series “2” Preferred Shares in 2012 cited as “the largest capital market transaction in Philippine history.”;
  • Acted as local counsel to DBS Bank Ltd., Mizuho Bank, Ltd. and Standard Chartered Bank and other banks in US$400 Million Project Financing of a new 300MW coal-fired power plant in Limay, Bataan of SMC Consolidated Power Corp. The Project financing was recognized as Best Power Deal in the Asia-Pacific Region in the 2015 IJ Global Awards.
