Peter Aall Simonsen specialises in renewable energy projects, banking and finance transactions and restructurings.

Peter is head of SVW’s infrastructure and renewable energy practice. He is recognized as a top-tier infrastructure, project development and finance lawyer, with a track-record of wind, hydropower, biomass and interconnector projects, offtake agreements and complex cross-border project financings. He advises investors, project developers, lenders, export credit agencies and other relevant parties.

Peter additionally has considerable experience with financing, with a particular focus on assisting lenders with asset based financing, restructuring and distressed debt. He is regularly appointed as adviser or board member for companies in distressed situations.

• Advisor to the agent in two major syndicated senior secured facilities with Ocean Yield ASA as borrower for the purpose of part financing complex sale and lease back arrangements with the Navig8 Chemical Tankers group;
• Advisor to the agent in three separate senior secured facilities, all for the purpose of financing the construction, complementation and operation of major wind farms in Norway;
• Represented DNB Bank and Swedbank in several major corporate financings of energy corporations.
