Research period review: 33rd edition (2022/2023)

The banking team mainly acted for lenders on loan facility and debentures issues during the research period, and impressed with a role for lenders/subscribers of some big-name banks, investors and institutions providing term loan facilities.

The capital markets team was particularly active in the equity capital market advising on IPOs.

The corporate team was active in acquisitions for both the buy and sell sides. The firm covered clients from different sectors including manufacturing and consulting.

The firm was also active in project development, especially in infrastructure and energy.

A significant restructuring and insolvency mandate saw the firm advise one of the few cases of the sale of a company in liquidation, as a going concern, under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.

Associate partner Jimit Shah from the capital markets team departed the firm.

The M&A team welcomed partner Sayantani Dutta and while partner Gaurav Priyadarshi and Jinni Sinha departed the firm.
