Davis Polk & Wardwell has added a former federal prosecutor to it's New York litigation team.

Greg D Andres rejoins the firm as a partner in the New York office after 13 years of service as a federal prosecutor. Prior to his government position he served in Davis Polk’s litigation department from 1997-99.

In his new role Andres will represent clients on behalf of the firm’s white collar criminal defense practice.

While he was deputy assistant attorney general at the Justice Department, Andres’s brief included areas such as securities fraud, abuse of the health care system, and appellate law. He handled high-profile criminal cases, including the prosecution of Credit Suisse broker Eric Butler, whose sales of securities under false pretenses cost investors $1 billion.
