US firm White & Case has hired a new partner in Hong Kong to strengthen its corporate and capital markets capabilities in Asia.

Catherine Tsang joins the firm from Paul Hastings where she was partner and brings over 15 years’ experience.

“Catherine is a technically astute lawyer with experience in Hong Kong public M&A and equity capital markets including listing rules, takeovers code and securities regulation,” says Barrye Wall, head of White & Case’s Asia practice. “Her broad experience and language skills will be particularly valuable assets as we continue building our China corporate practice and grow our role supporting Chinese clients on their international growth ambitions.”

Tsang—fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin—joins the firm’s global M&A practice, and is focused on corporate and capital markets transactional work, advising clients on equity capital markets deals and mergers and acquisitions.

White & Case has over 30 years’ experience in Greater China with offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai, including English, US and Hong Kong qualified lawyers, and those trained in PRC law.
