White & Case has added a new local partner to its capital markets team in Milan.
Paul Alexander joins the firm from Linklaters. His main focus is on debt work though he also handles some equity mandates. English qualified he will work on deals drawn from both the Italian and UK practices.
The firm has been gradually building its Italian practice since reopening its office in 2011 through the hires of Michael Immordino and Jonathan Clark from Latham & Watkins. The latest hire, in June 2013, was debt capital markets partner Paola Leocani from Allen & Overy.
Immordino, now executive partner in White & Case's Italian practice said of the latest move: "Paul, who is regularly involved in high profile debt, equity and equity-linked transactions, represents a key addition as he brings an impressive reputation and strong client relationships. He has extensive experience representing underwriters and companies in capital markets deals in Italy."
