Weil Gotshal & Manges has hired an infrastructure and real estate finance lawyer from Baker McKenzie in London.

Paul Hibbert is a finance partner focusing on infrastructure, real estate and general corporate finance matters.

Hibbert has acted on a number of notable deals in Turkey recently including advising the lenders on Yapı ve Kredi Bankası's $295 million and €810.5 million dual currency loan facilities (Deal Data Record), on Türkiye Halk Bankası's $179 million and €640 million dual tranche syndicated loan facilities (Deal Data Record) and on Acıbadem's $500 million syndicated multitranche loan facility (Deal Data Record).

Other work highlights include advising the arrangers financing Macquarie's acquisition of Opengrid Europe, the German gas distribution business; advising the arrangers financing First State Investments' acquisition of Digita, the telecommunications business in Finland; advising Bristol Airport shareholders in respect of its loan refinancing; and advising the Moto shareholders on the bank and bond refinancing of the motorway service station business.
