Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom has hired two new private equity partners in London from White & Case.

Richard Youle and Katja Butler join the European private equity practice at their new firm.

Youle is a well known name in the London market having been co-head of private equity at White & Case alongside Ian Bagshaw.

His recent work includes advising HgCapital on its investment in Mitratech; Mid Europa Partners on the disposal of Norican Group; and Montagu Private Equity on its acquisition of DEAS.

Bulter was made up to partner at White & Case in January 2017. Her recent work includes advising HgCapital on the acquisition of Kinapse and advising Castik Capital portfolio company Waterlogic on its acquisition of PHS.

There have been a number of private equity hires in London over the last few months, most emerging from the administration of King & Wood Mallesons. Simon Witney joined Debevoise & Plimpton from KWM in JanuaryJonathan Pittal and Gabriel Boghossian joined Stephenson Harwood and Will Holder joined Baker McKenzie.

Elsewhere Goodwin Proctor hired Mark Soundy and Sarah Priestley from Shearman & Sterling.
