Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has expanded its finance and corporate teams in London with the hire of two new partners from Jones Day.

Dominic O'Brien is a debt finance specialist who advises on LBOs, acquisition finance finance and growth capital matters. In terms of sectors he focuses on energy, infrastructure and telecoms. He joined Jones Day in 2012 from Addleshaw Goddard.

He has advised the likes of STERIS Corporation on its combination with Synergy Health and Adiant Capital Partners on the sale of ESS Solar to the Foresight Group.

Weyinmi Popo advises on capital markets, M&A and private equity work with a particularly focus on Anglophone Africa. He has advised the likes of LeapFrog Investments and Helios Investment Partners. He is dual qualified in England and Wales and Australia.

The additions add further depth to the firm's Africa and energy practices which were expanded in July 2015 with the additions of Matthew Williams, John Deacon and Edward Humphries from Hogan Lovells (July 2015).
