Orrick Rambaud Martel has hired a new partner to bolster its energy and infrastructure department.

Making the move from Eversheds Paris office, Ramu Ramaswamy joins Orrick as the firm seeks further growth in the sector. Ramu has significant experience working on major oil and gas and energy and infrastructure projects.

A great proportion of Ramu’s experience is in energy and infrastructure projects on the African continent, advising both the public and private sectors extensively.

In a recent interview with IFLR1000, recognised leading lawyer Ramu stated that the reason for the change was due to the increased focus of Orrick on major projects, specifically in Africa: “They have large specialised dedicated teams that they can devote to these types of projects," he said.
