Former AZB & Partners (AZB) CEO - who left leading Indian law firm in November last year - has opened his own corporate law practice.

Mumbai-based Abhijit Joshi launched Veritus Legal and will be joined by fellow AZB partner Nandish Vyas and three associates later this month.

“It looks like we’re poised at the next economic revolution,” Joshi said in a media statement. “I think there’s enough opportunity in the market for good quality work.”

Joshi and Vyas are experts in M&A and foreign investments. Joshi joined AZB as partner in 2001 when it was known as the Chambers of Zia Mody - in 2011 he was promoted to CEO. Vyas joined AZB in 2006 and became a partner the following year.

The decision to set up a new firm follows the revival of India’s economy after Narendra Modi’s election last May.
