Eversheds has announced that it has secured its third office location in South Africa by joining forces with Durban-based firm Knight Turner which will rebrand as Eversheds KZN.

Five new partners have joined the firm along with two senior associates and one associate. They bring with them significant corporate and M&A experience with senior partner Andrew Turner and partner Lauren Kelso offering expertise in this area.

This follows Evershed's earlier partnership with Mahons Attorneys which gave it a presence in Johannesburg and Cape Town along with another office in Port Louis, Mauritius. The firm is also allied to Eversheds El Heni in Tunisia and Eversheds CWA Morocco and can now boast eight offices throughout Africa.

Andrew Turner, a founding partner at Knight Turner, said: “This affiliation will give us increased reach, within South Africa, Africa and beyond. It will also vastly increase our access to legal knowledge and resources.”
