Leading French firm De Pardieu Brocas Maffei has announced the appointment of a new banking and capital markets partner to its Paris office.

Jeremy Grant joins the firm after nearly 15 years at Linklaters, his most recent position in France followed previous tenures in London and Moscow.

He is dual-qualified in France and England and Wales and the hire enables the French firm to advise its clients on matters relating to the latter for the first time.

Grant specialises in international securities law, specifically working with underwriters on bond and debt issuances, hybrid bonds, EMTN programmes and structured financing, with an emphasis on emerging markets.

Examples of previous work include assisting as Linklaters advised HSBC, Bank of China, ICBC and Standard Chartered as joint lead managers on the first Renminbi-denominated bond issues by Air Liquide.

The move is the latest in a string of lateral hires in the Paris market by French firms.
